I am looking at the various accounting software options – Intuit, Sage, MYOB and can’t decide between them
Get the simplest and cheapest, you won’t need anything else until your business grows. Avoid Sage, unless you want a lifetime of junk mail and their sales department calling you every week to try and sell you upgrades, support contracts and training packages

MYOB – Sage is a bit technical.
References :
I would recommend Sage. I wouldn’t say it’s too technical – I started playing with my grandfather’s Sage software and mostly mastered it by the time I was ten years old. It is accurate and useful and the database stores everything you need. It also offers maximum usability.

Me
Have to say MYOB for small business. Sage and Quick Books are very powerful but just unnecessary for the start up. I use MYOB for 2 limited companies and have done for a few years and found it very intuitive, covers all your fundamental and other requirements and the learning curve is easy compared to others.
Most accountants will import the date to sign-off/audit your books through MYOB and with MYOB Business Basics at under £60 represents great value.
Also has a very powerful report generator so you know always where your business stands in terms of banking, credits, debts, assets, cash flow, Profit & Loss, etc.
As my businesses have grown, not found any need to migrate to something else because MYOB has dealt with it.
Download a trial version from the Mamut site link below and give it a go. Good luck!

If you need inventory management and invoicing, I´ll recommend you Agendoo Commerce. So useful and low cost.
